There's a whole lot of attention given to this number and a great many have used 666 to pick out certain men in history as the Antichrist. A few years ago, someone sent me a joke that is a good reminder that if you want to play with numbers or the like, you can make it say whatever you want. Our infatuation with end times, mark of the beast, and the Antichrist, rather than on Christ who brings victory and the call to be faithful until that day is what really needs to be changed. Again, this is humerous, so if any of your kids are fans of Barney, you may want to have them quit reading!

Given: Barney is a Cute Purple Dinosaur

Prove: Barney is the Antichrist in 6 easy steps

1) Barney = "CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR"
2) change all the U's to V's

CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

3) Remove all the Roman Numerals

C V V L D I V

4) Convert to Arabic Numerals

D=500
C=100
L=50
V=5
I=1

5) Add

500 + 100 + 50 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 1 = 666

6) Therefore, Barney = the Antichrist
